The Law Project provides legal advice and representation to individuals and families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, with a focus on ensuring homeless children and youth have access to school and educational services.

In this interactive training, Kasey Franco of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Chicago will provide participants with the tools they need to effectively communicate with others, including those living with mental health conditions. Participants will also gain an understanding of common emotional responses of those grappling with a loved one living with mental illness in addition to how to access a Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) trained police officer and other emergency mental health resources.
